The Shimano CN-HG701 11 Speed Road/MTB Chain is Shimano's XT/Ultegra-level chain specifically designed to work with 11-speed MTB and Road drivetrains, featuring Shimano's new ultra-low friction surface treatment, SIL-TEC. Thanks to this new surface treatment, this chain will now operate smoother and with less friction. This results in less noise, requiring less maintenance with better mud shedding performance. This makes the chain last longer, with better wear and abrasion resistance. The new SIL-TEC coating paired with Shimano's special asymmetrical plate design means closer ratios, smoother shifts, and a more efficient pedal stroke. A quick link is included for fast repair and adjustments.
